I live in yhe US and I drink Grande Mistos when I do stop at Starbucks. I do know at Starbucks it is called by 2 different names depending where you order at, and the second name is escaping me right now, but it is half coffee and half steamed milk of your choice, WHY WOULD THEY NOT MAKE THAT FOR YOU. I pay approximately $2.50

As someone who has one every other day… you can’t always get a Misto. This is especially true if you don’t go to the same starbucks all the time where you might get preferential treatment.

If they know you, they’ll give it to you. If they don’t, it’s unlikely. By the sounds of it, you are a daily starbucks patron. They know you, and want to keep you happy so you won’t switch to a Second Cup.

Unfortunately, Starbucks no longer has “Misto’s” anymore. You can still get a drink made the same way, but they now charge the latte prices. For a Grande Misto, I paid over $5.00. Starbucks has been getting a lot of slack for charging almost double for the same drink so some will give it to you for the old price if you complain. I wonder how long that will last.

I used to ask for only one tea bag (they normally put in two), and they would charge even less for one less bag. But now they charge you for it either way.

I find the Gande Mocha in the morning (which is $4.61) makes my life better – its hard to change into something like drip coffee when you are an espresso drinker – its like someone who drinks a French merlot and is now drinking boxed wine from Niagara (cringe!).

But I for the month of March i will be switching to drip coffee and see if i can stay with it.
